I think that's precisely what they're going to do, in fact I said so while S1 was still airing. I have a vague theory as to why it's going there which is so pathetic that recently I've started thinking it's actually probably correct.

My faith in Russell has plummetted recently for no apparent reason apart from me really hating LotTL.

btw, i think rusty's real problem is that deep down he wishes that he had a magical healing vag of his very own. but he doesn't, so he creates all these annoying characters who do, and then makes everyone else inexplicably worship them.

as long as jack/gwen kills gwen/owen, though, i'm fucking ecstatic. i mean, ew.

I missed an episode, downloaded it, and then didn't watch it before the next episode aired, so I ended up having to watch two before the third episode aired and it became one of those things that just never happened so now I have six episodes on the computer and I haven't watched a single one. It looked quite good, I must admit.

My theory is very similar to yours. And yeah, Gwen/Owen was pretty fucking gross, I agree. But Gwen/Jack is equally squicking me out, precisely because, as you imply there, I can't help but feel there's a whole underlying thing of magickal healing vag going on. Yuck.

i haven't seen any yet - let me know if it's any good if you see it first, yeah? i'm willing to give it a shot simply because teh moff has got wicked game when it comes to writing, and also to see what kind of a show he'd run if when he takes over from uncle rusty.

and the healing vag thing makes me sad indeed. unfortunately rtd is far from alone in this particular flaw; there are several completely brilliant male writers who can't write a single believable interesting self-contained well-rounded female character to save their effin' life. madame de p and the girl from 'empty child' do give me hope about moffat, though.
