It's like, Avengers, with the added bonus of Chris Evans' beard being in it. May start a petition to have the beard featured in Cap3.

It's all Hulk and Hawkeye I hear, btw, which is fine, I'd really like to see more of Ruffalo's Banner, but Cap better get those ninja fighting skills out again or I will be disappoint, they were hawt.

From what I've seen in trailers his big thing is jumping from impossible heights and rolling when he lands and being absolutely fine.

I liked Ruffalo too, and Hawkeye could use some development. They've also got two new ones, so I understand why it'd be Cap-light. Still :(

He actually hurts people which is impressive, and he does a lot of gymnastic shizz. He's like a patriotic ninja. They made him... scarier, I guess. Like he will just grab you by the throat and choke the life out of you if you piss him off. But still he's like the best boy scout ever. It's a weirdly sexy combination.

And the lack of costume in many of the fight scenes was interesting, it kind of just made him this guy in chinos who's going to KICK YOUR ASS.

Apparently Evans also does gymnastics. Because he wasn't awesome enough.

I think Evans and the fight guys started that, he wanted to overhaul his fighting style, which was a little heavy on the shield throwing and punching and not much else. Now it's heavy on the gymnastics and kicking people in the face.

And yeah, I'm not really spoiling anything if I tell you he has no costume for most of the film, so no mask. And even when he does have the mask, he takes it off, twice. An alarming amount of the fight scenes is Evans himself and not his double.

Ooh. Intrigue. Hand is such a bitch. I suddenly have no idea where this is going, but it's going the exact same way as the Who the fuck are the bad guys Winter Soldier story. I hope Coulson is as gleeful as Steve was when he figured out who the bad guys were, he was totally jolly about figuring out who to punch.

Looked up the Lemurian Star - it's in the movie preview clips, so I feel relatively unspoiled, and very amused. Poor Agent Sitwell.

I have Fantastic Four on dvd. Maybe even Rise of the Silver Surfer as well. We own many superhero films. FF just didn't work, I'm amazed it got a sequel at all. Evans was utterly watchable iirc, but the film seemed to have no forward momentum and precious little soul. But maybe that's just me in hindsight having been spoiled by the gold that Marvel Studios make themselves out of the characters they do own.

The CGI is also hysterical, especially for Mister Fantastic.

I remember enjoying FF the first time I saw it but feeling like it probably wouldn't hold up to a rewatch. It's been nine years, I can stand a mediocre film for the sake of Chris Evans.
