But you LOVE Turchwad!
I will downloads it for you! You loves that wacky show.
I'm finding it very hard to explain, both on this here internets and at home, all the reasons why I'm not interested in Torchwood: Miracle Day. And I don't like pissing in people's chips, either, so I'm not going to rant and rave about how much I don't care about watching it, the truth is I don't really care enough either way to even be vehement about it, and if it gets downloaded for me (lol, seriously, I still don't know how that torrent shizzle works, I am ignorant in these matters and just write things on post its and stick them to his screen), I'll probably give it a go. My main problem at the moment is that all the things that people are now, having seen screeners and such, so very excited about, sound awful to me. Seriously, the more I hear about it, the worse it sounds. But that's just me and YMMV and such.
But, I am the Torchwood prophet, of course, so here's your 100% God's honest TRUTH, it's not even a hunch or prediction, this one, but I guess you could call it spoilers, what with it being an ACTUAL THING THAT WILL HAPPEN, and it's this:
Jack is so dead. Are people actually debating this? Are there actual people out there who think Jack will survive this series? I don't like Jack enough to care, but I am finding it all terribly amusing and I am, of course, looking forward to how the Glee crowd will explain this one away, having said after CoE that Torchwood was about Jack and all the other characters don't matter and of course they're going to die. I shall enjoy reading all that shit.
Also, I am becoming increasingly worried that the whole Amy/Rory/Melody storyline in Who will be handwaved away entirely, and was, in fact, resolved when River said that stuff about the Doctor finding her and taking care of her and not to worry about it. Am I alone in this?

Here I thought I was watching an ensemble show about a team led by CJH.
RTD and Julie Gardner once said that Gwen was the only one who gets a pass from death. I think they were being quite precise with that statement. The ONLY way Jack is going to survive this season is if they can up the ante on his man!pain. He's going to think he's finally free to live a mortal life but will have to give it up and save the planet, then live on in continued misery. Burying him alive for 2000 years wasn't quite enough torture porn. Let's make him suffer 2000 years above ground first!
Either that, or he's going to realize that he doesn't want to die after all, so they'll force him to die to save us losers and take down Big Evil Republican Government/Big Business (yawn).
I'm curious about the show, mostly to see how PC Andy (Sergeant, whatev...) fares, or how long it is before Rhys is killed/leaves with Anwen. I'll probably wind up watching it, just because schaudenfreude is so tasty!
It's all a pity, really, because I loved the train wreck of S1 and S2 so much. It was fun when it was Cardiff and five really messed up people you loved to hate and hated to love, scrappy and stupid but pulling it out of their asses anyhow. This stuff feels like Michael Bay was too busy making Transformers 20, so they made Torchwood without him.

I think Series 1 TW had a made by students feel to it, which wasn't a bad thing at all, as long as you didn't try and take it seriously.
