Well, River said I'm Melody and don't worry, the Doctor will find her and take care of her, and for some reason I'm now getting the feeling that what Moffat actually meant was that this part of the story is now done and Amy and Rory don't actually have any impetus to go and look for their newborn baby, because she's River and River's OK. Which would make me growl at the screen, but I'm getting the feeling that's what was meant.

The whole six-days-later thing with TW:MD and the Beeb makes it pretty clear to me that there is no funding forthcoming from the BBC for an American second season. Also, there was an article in Variety a few weeks back that confirmed that Bad Wolf productions had applied for and received 8 million dollars worth of tax relief from the state of California for relocating there for the second season. So, no, no BBC involvement as far as I can see if it should be renewed (though that's a pretty big IF in my book.)
