Ah, yes, so someone says in my last post "It's almost as if you luff the Barrowman, you talk about him so much", and good God, ain't that the truth. For the record: I think he's a dick. I'm pretty sure we were clear on that one already. Anyway, to compensate, I thought I'd post some gratuitous and hugely pointless pictures. I cleaned up my computer the other day, and put everything in folders, as one does every now and again, and I ended up with a collection of Ianto-related Torchwood screencaps that I'd saved for reasons now lost to me in the mists of time. Probably because I was going to make an amusing icon or use the picture to prove some point or other, or maybe just because I wanted to look at it for a bit, I really don't know. But anyway, here are some of them, in no particular order:

I've posted this one before because it makes me drool quite heavily, even though, I've said that before as well, but I'll say it again, that is the most fuck ugly tie Ianto's ever worn.

Nope, no idea. I've got a lot of stills from the office scene, maybe I was going to say something deep and meaningful about it at one time, and then I forgot what it was because I spent too long looking at the pictures. (Or maybe I was going to say something amusing about the juxtaposition of their manlove and that weird yoniesque logo on all the computers. Or something.)


I KNOW I was going to do a post once about this scene and I never did. Again, I don't recall what undoubtedly fascinating thoughts were in my head about it. (Though, knowing me, it was probably something about Ianto and Captain John's relative cock sizes. Maybe with an amusing quip thrown in about Little Owen in the background there.)


Now these are all caps I used in my FOOTR picspam recap, I know that much. I'm reposting them because I can.

Ianto's thinking face is hilarious. You know he only does it to fit in with normal people, since he's actually figured out the answer within 00.2 miliseconds and is just waiting for everyone else to catch up while he does his frowny face and thinks intensely of coffee, Jack and pie.

I sometimes think that all Ianto actually does with his time and his brain, given the fact that he's obviously 1000x smarter than mere mortals, is calculate the effect the minutest change in facial expression has on people, and work out an in-his-head spreadsheet of which facial expression will logically suit which situation and be most likely to achieve whatever his desired result may be. Like some sort of humanoid manipulobot.

And I forgot to say how much I agree about that tie - I've always thought that too - it's just ugly. And speaking of wide ties, wasn't the S3 tie in the earlier-shot scenes very wide also? (can't remember rest of outfit, just that the tie was extremely wide - although I think there may have been a purple or maroon shirt)

I think so. All I noticed about his series 3 suit was that it was about two sizes to big on him. It looks like he lost a lot of pie weight before filming started and they didn't bother humming in the suit.

I love the pic from the office scene. That was the first episode that I ever saw and it made me fall in love so hard with Ianto and Janto that I immediately had to watch S1 and get involved in the online community.

Sadly, I don't think the writers have lived up to the potential that existed with the character and the ship (with the exception of TTLM and the manwhorespy revelations of Fragments) so my enthusiasm has waned.

Perhaps S3 will blow my socks off. I hope so but I'm doubtful.
