I'll admit that Ianto definately looked a little chubby tonight but I still lurve him and want to have his babies. :)
Surprisingly, some people have said that they thought Ianto was even HOTTER tonight than at any time in the past, including one woman who's never really fancied him before. Takes all sorts I suppose.
Early reports from people who've met Gareth today at his Birmingham and Cardiff signings seem positive. Lots of "OMG HE'S SO HOT" reports. Either the personal trainer is working wonders or he's thiner in real life than he is on the tele - probably a bit of both.
Just doing my bit for the community. It was a snapshot of pie-mongous proportions, but a snapshot nonetheless. It is on the road to getting better now, we can all relax.
I didn't think The Pie was TOO dire, honestly. In some shots with poor lighting it was noticeable but he was plenty yummy nonetheless, in my opinion. Boy still has great legs.
And can I just get him saying "Yes, Ma'am" as a system noise on my computer? for EVERYTHING? Thanks. That'd be great. Gnnngngngh. Yeah. That would be good.
Cheekbones are nice, but too much cheekboone(s) doesn't always make for the better look. My father has cheekbones that most women would die for (a la Gareth's), but he is very thin (a la Gareth, season1). And I always think that if he'd just gain some weight, especially in the face, he'd look more attractive.
Poor Gareth. We're going to give him body-image issues!
I think he's got a great thing going now: he looks stronger, but not muscle-y, trim but not skinny (oh sweet hell, those jeans in "Fragments"!!!), and that precious face has its definition back.
But as I've said elsewhere: I find him to be a delicious morsel in any incarnation.
Oh, I hope not. Based on his interviews, he seems to be an intelligent person, and with that in mind, I hope he realizes that what we say or think (whether positive or negative) doesn't amount to a hill of beans in the grand scheme of his life. Honestly, it was his acting ability that drew me to the character of Ianto Jones, not what Gareth look's like in a suit or how pronounced his cheekbones are. I live in the US, and I often think how great it would be to live in the UK and have the opportunity to see GDL (and David Tennant) on stage.
He snuck up on me. Like everyone else I wasn't paying the least attention to him. "Cyberwoman" made me look, "Countrycide" made me go "hmmm", but it was "End of Days" that made me love him.
I have a proven weakness for quiet, watchful characters who are secretly emotional tornadoes. (O HAI STEPHEN MATURIN.)
And actually, his beautiful, precise, light baritone speaking voice is my favorite of his physical characteristics. :-)
I was more worried by the fact that Season-Two-Gareth compressed into the wrong aspect ratio of 4:3, looks exactly like Season-One-Gareth in widescreen.
Jeez, good point. No wonder the contrast with Stolen Earth Gareth is even more glaring. I was thinking they both looked quite lovely. That's quite a scene.
Which could also be indictive of S1 Gareth being far too thin and waif like. With posters stating that he looks far thinner in real life, I can only imagine just how underfed he looked during that time period.
