I know all that, and I agree. I've just never really seen any appreciation from Jack for all the things Ianto does for him. I can think of a hundred reasons why Jack needs Ianto around, and why this relationship is something Jack needs and appreciates. I've just never seen Jack articulate, even nonverbally, a single one of them.
