*nods* In playing up the toys and fun and games aspect of their sex life (which is FINE BY ME, don't get me wrong, I'm VERY SUPPORTIVE of sexual weirdness) one would assume, for laughs, they're actually writing OUT any possibility of emotional attachment. Ianto seems IN AWE of Jack's bedroom skills, but this is coming from a guy who stated plainly that he wanted things to prgress outside of the bedroom and we haven't been shown any of that progression. If we're meant to be ASSUMING that it HAS progressed to outside of the bedroom, then Jack's characterisation is doing a really bad job of making us believe that, and Ianto's puppy eyes at Jack are actually serving to make us believe that Jack has somehow silenced Ianto's demands for emotional depth, possibly by ramming his magical futuristic cock in his mouth.
