I'm also against J/I schmoop as such, but only in as much as I'm AGAINST JACK SCHMOOPING WITH ANYONE. And what they seem to keep telling us, especially in this episode, is that Jack DOES INDEED SCHMOOP, but for some reason Ianto is undeserving of the Jack!Schmoop, or men in general are undeserving of the schmoop. Russell has this sickmakingly apologetic and slightly embarrassed way of portraying gay relationships sometimes, and the purely carnal nature of this one is one that I find offensive. Especially as it's being implied that there is unrequited love there, and Jack really doesn't give a damn. Way to make your hero look like a dick. Agsin.
