I have drilled my bookcase to the wall. Twice.
As in two bookcases, not that I did it wrong the first time or something.

I have just been filling up the one upstairs, and am now wondering why the hell I have around 8 feet of dictionaries. Don't ever play Scrabble with me, dudes, because deciding between the Collins and the Longmans is going to take up a good hour of my time. During which I'll get distracted and go "Ooh Welsh is such a pretty language, isn't it?" I am going to take a picture of the dictionary goodness one of these days and put it up. It is teh r0xx0rz.


In other news, my face is smiling hard because Torchwood seems to be inspiring everyone to write Dom/sub slash featuring Jack and Ianto. And that's making me smile because I get the feeling the production team were aiming for that exact result. I bet they're all giggling like girls. Oh, fanfic, you do make me laugh.

The reaction to the Welsh wank thing by the OP of the Welsh wank thing that misscam linked to made me spit coffee on my shiny new fixed psp. I love wank. SO MUCH.

8ft of dictonaries? But aren't all the words all the same in them (if they're in the same language)?

You'd be surprised. No, there's about a foot and a half of english, a foot of dutch, dutch-english, dutch-german, dutch-french, french, english-french, english-german, english-spanish, etymological dictionaries, thesauri, phrasebooks for every language known to man, far too many books on welsh, linguistics textbooks, scientific dictionaries bla bla bla. I can't resist dictionaries. There's quite a lot of old ones, I especially like books for specific things like technical or business dictionaries from the fifties and such. I love books, man.

One day a bookcase will fall on me and I will die. What a way to go.
