I always hoped that they'd use Ianto more (or at lest give him a story arch), but now that I've come to terms with the fact that he's nothing more than a plot device/love interest, I don't care if he comes back or not. If their going to use Ianto coming back as a cheap ratings stunt (and still never give him a story arch), I'd rather he stays died. I don't like RTD not because he killed off Ianto (and Tosh and Owen), I don't like him because while he is good a coming up with concepts/ideas his writing is usually bad (at least when he's writing sci-fi). I loved the IDEA of Torchwood, but I like the fanfic more than the canon. So much wasted potential.
