Yep, that's it. RTD is aware of that but he apparently really likes that type of cunts and despises caring and loyal people.
I agree that 'troublemakers' characters can be interesting to a certain extent but they can become boring pretty soon esp. when handled in such a bad way.
How long does he think he can play with a character when he puts them through torture and pain and emotional and physical damage without making them show any sign of consequences at all. They just become dull pretty soon.
I don't hate Jack but I hate the way RTD took this charming character and turned him into an empty shell of a pathetic, insensitive loser who just keep going nowhere.
It seems to me that RTD is just showing off his nihilistic vision and it's not a healty thing nor a pretty sight. And it has nothing to do with good storytelling and drama, I'm afraid.
