That UV thing is a bit beautiful. And the cutesy toys are the right cutesy in that they went for silly. I have never liked Ten so much as in that toy.
I have active admiration for your console-mending and cardboard-laminating. And the bag full of small bits that are both losable and dangerous is the kind of thing that is both highly sensible and brilliant when the child in question grows up and rediscovers its toys and lo, all the fiddly bits are still there! Which is also good if the geeky parent in question wishes to keep the toys, so it's win/win. And small fiddly bits are a bit useless when playing since no toy ever manages to hold them properly once the grip wears off its hands.
