I was talking about this with someone who had just finished watching series 2 the other day and she said that 'I can so clearly see what it could be, if only the writers would aim for better continuity and stop sacrificing drama for melodrama.' which is how I feel about the show. They (the powers that be) want a great show, but they can't quite pull it off.
